We’ve been busy cooking up something just smashing for your home, our spectacular collection of kitchen rugs. It doesn’t matter if you have a space that would put a restaurant to shame or something with a tad less elbow room, there’s sure to be a rug here to make your kitchen look as beautiful as the dishes you create in it.

If the kitchen isn’t the first place you associate with rugs, well, we used to feel just the same! But the truth is that any place where you spend a lot of time on your poor feet is the perfect spot for a rug--anything to give those dear things a little rest and comfort. And the kitchen, even if it may not be your main room for entertaining, is sure to be a place guests gravitate to. Casual glasses of wine over the stove or light snacking, the kitchen is always going to be an extension of the dining room, even in the most spacious of abodes. So it had better look good!

We don’t know about you, but we can be a little on the messier side, especially when we’re focused on making everything just so for our big feast. So for our kitchen rugs we’re always looking for those made out of durable materials, with a special focus on being easy to maintain. Synthetic materials can work well here, but remember wool is also a fiber known for its durability. If you’re really worried about stains, choose something in a darker colour. It may make your room feel a little bit snugger than a lighter rug might but you can always balance this out with some bright kitchen lights or a movable kitchen island with a blond wood finish.
