Don't waste space with cluttered knick-knacks! Whatever your need, we've got the storage & shelving solution for you below.
More About Storage And Shelving: We love storage and shelving because it serves a purpose whilst also serving a look. If you’re looking to show off your book/ record collection then our beautiful shelves provide the perfect platform to highlight your awesome taste in music and literature. Or, if you’ve got a lot of ugly but useful goodies that you need to be put away, Indian Hub’s distressed wood treasure box will keep them neatly packaged whilst also making your bedroom look super rustic.
No matter what look you’re trying to create in your home, we guarantee you’ll need some storage or shelving in there somewhere. Whether you need something to put your tableware in, a way to make your plants eye level, or a surface to put your toiletries on, our wide range of storage and shelving units will solve all those problems.
When it comes to picking out the perfect storage unit or wall mounting for you, it’s important to remember that it’s ‘for you’. Are you into contrasting palettes or minimalistic monochrome block colours? Do you like oaky wooden finishes or the sleek, metal industrial aesthetic? Is your style old school bracket and wall mounts or funky shelves in quirky, out there shapes? There’s no right or wrong answer here - taste is a subjective matter and as long as you’re digging it then you’ve nailed this storage and shelving game.
Whilst style is personal, there are certain practicalities to consider. Tiles look good in kitchens and bathrooms, so think about putting Pellington Design’s Confetti Shelf system with yellow, white, pink, green and red tiles in there. As for small, pokey rooms in your home, you can’t go wrong with a corner shelf to stop the room from looking too busy. If this sounds like your situation current situation, then Indian Hub’s reclaimed wood corner shelf is just what you need.
Also, you gotta be real with yourself here. If you’re a hoarder with all sorts of trinkets you couldn’t bare to be without, you gotta reflect this in your shelf and storage size. If you’ve got more stuff than you’d like to admit, a cupboard is probably your best bet to organise it all. Indian Hub have some gorgeous cupboards - we personally recommend their cupboard with mismatch pull out shelves, but we can also see why their large oak cupboard with black metal trimmings is very popular.
If you’re a minimalist with minimal furnishings, then Ambivalenz’s birch wall mounting is screaming Scandi vibes at us. Then again, Tolhuijs’ teeny tiny white wood shelf just cannot be missed by anyone with one or two knick knacks they want to spotlight with their own individual shelf.
We appreciate that as you move from place to place you’re gonna acquire more shizz. To save yourself the hassle of trying to rejig a shelf because you put it slap bang in the middle of a room and there’s no space for another one, then Tolhuijs’ FancyRack will be a real lifesaver. An upcycled storage system, this nifty thing allows you attach shelves straight onto the rack, so you can easily pop your shelves on and off and move them around when you need to. They’ve got ‘em in yellow, green, black and grey, so have some fun with it and customise it to your style.
So you’ve found what you’ve been looking for and you’ve had it delivered to your door with fast shipping, but what do you do now? The answer is obviously put your new shelf up, but how exactly you do that might not be so clear. For those who are more Do-It-Never than Do-It-Yourself, don’t stress, when it’s as easy as this even an old dog can learn this new trick.
First things first, decide where you’re gonna put it. If you’re putting up some corner shelving, the options are limited to, well, corners, but floating shelves can go pretty much anywhere.
With any shelf, you’ve gotta make sure there’s no cables or pipes lurking behind the wall you’ve chosen to hang it up on. To do this you’ll need a detector which you can buy at pretty much any DIY store. After this step, assess what kind of shelf you are putting up. If you’ve got a fixed shelf you’ll need to drill a hole into the wall and screw the brackets in place, then pop the rectangular shelf part on top of the bracket and badabing badaboom - you’re all done. For floating shelves, it’s just as simple: drill some holes into the wall, insert the wall plugs into these holes, screw the metal bracket strip into place and slide your shelf straight through. Easy peasy, lemony squeezy.
